Swimming pond.

Swimming Pond with Inflatables

The epicenter of the entire campground is the amazing swimming pond. It’s perfect for cooling off on those hot summer days and a great way to make memories with family. The crystal clear water makes it feel like you’re in paradise, and the area is lush with trees to provide plenty of shade.

Kids absolutely love the inflatables they have on the swimming pond. There are huge slides and obstacle courses that keep the kids entertained for hours.

Mini golf.

Another fan-favorite activity at Smokey Hollow Campground is their mini golf course. It’s a great way for families to connect and have some friendly competition. The grounds are well maintained, and the holes are designed with a unique theme in each one, making it even more enjoyable.

While there are a few paid activities, the mini golf course is free for all guests, so you can play as much as you want.

Jumping pillow.

This thing was pretty wild, and the kids absolutely loved it. It’s a giant air-filled mattress that you can jump on, and the kids had so much fun bouncing around. At one point, the staff even set up the volleyball net across the jumping pillow, and the kids organized their own game.

So much more!

You’ll arrive and see their campground filled with everything you need for an awesome weekend with your family. In addition to the swimming pond and mini golf course, there’s a jumping pillow, playgrounds, a skate park, a dunk tank, a game room, outdoor movies, sports courts, and more.

Smokey Hollow Campground is also pet-friendly, so Fido can come along too! There’s even a dog walk area available for those furry friends.

When booking your stay, keep in mind Smokey Hollow Campground offers a wide variety of accommodations. Whether you’re looking for luxury cabins, yurts, or Conestoga wagons, they have something that is sure to fit your camping needs. The cabins come with all the modern amenities and comforts of home. If you’re looking for something more rustic, the yurts and Conestoga wagons offer you a chance to experience camping without having to worry about setting up camp.

When we stayed at Smokey Hollow Campground, we stayed in our RV, but we’ve got to say that the deluxe cabins looked amazing. While you can rent a pet-friendly cabin, we wanted to bring both of our pups and wanted to have our RV for that. So we booked one of their seasonal sites.

We noticed that both the park model and deluxe cabins were very spacious and fully furnished. We loved the homey feel of them, with all the modern amenities that you need for a comfortable stay.

Come for the activities, stay for the amenities.

Sure, we stayed in our RV, but that’s not to say that there weren’t plenty of amenities at each campsite or cabin.

And who doesn’t like tons of amenities such as free wifi and a fire ring? After all, when you’re playing on the jumping pillows all day and taking part in treasure hunts, you want a nice fire pit to come back and relax at.

Each site has access to the campground’s bathhouses, laundry facilities, and recreation areas. You’ll definitely be taken care of while you’re here.

The cabins all had small kitchenettes (even the wagons had a microwave and coffee pot despite how small they were).

Even on those rainy days when all of your planned activities are canceled, you can still find something to do. The campground has a game room and TV lounge with all the latest games, movies, and books for you to enjoy.

From the picnic table to the dump station, RV sites are comfy.

There are dozens of campsites for those that want to book reservations for tent camping or want to bring their travel trailer. However, that doesn’t mean they have to miss out on having all the amenities of a cabin.

Each RV site at Smokey Hollow Campground comes with its own picnic table, fire ring, and access to the campground’s dump station. They also have plenty of electrical hook-ups, so you can power all your gadgets while camping in style.

Our experience at Smokey Hollow was nothing short of amazing. It’s the perfect spot for a family getaway or a romantic weekend. Although with all of the kids running around, it’s a little difficult for a romantic getaway. But, regardless of if you’re coming with the family or alone, Smokey Hollow Campground is sure to make your camping experience one that you’ll never forget.

Smokey Hollow Campground FAQs

When we got back from our trip, we realized that there were a few questions that we had that weren’t answered. So here is a list of the most commonly asked questions about Smokey Hollow Campground that will help you prepare for your stay.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in and check-out times are different for campers and cabins. If you’re renting a campsite, then the earliest you can check in is 2 pm. All campers must check out no later than 1 pm. As for rentals, check-in is 3 pm, and check-out is 11 am. This gives them time to clean up the space. However, their staff at the front desk is super friendly, and if your cabin, yurt, or RV spot is available and ready, they might let you occupy it earlier. It never hurts to ask.

What can we bring?

You’re allowed to bring your own camping equipment, such as tents, air mattresses, and sleeping bags. However, you must bring all other items that you need for your stay, such as food, beverages, and personal items. It’s a full-on resort, so you could get away with just bringing clothes and hygiene stuff. They have everything else. That is if you’re staying in a cabin.

Does Smokey Hollow Campground provide firewood?

Yes! They offer a variety of packaged firewood bundles for purchase at reasonable prices. Since each spot has a fire pit, you’ll want to make sure you either bring your own wood or purchase their firewood.

Do they allow pets?

Yes, Smokey Hollow Campground allows you to bring your furry friends with you on vacation! However, there are some restrictions in place, such as all pets must be on a leash at all times, there’s a limit of two pets each, and campers must clean up after their pets. These requirements are typical at all campgrounds.

Is there any wifi available?

Yes, Smokey Hollow Campground offers complimentary wifi throughout most of the park. We didn’t notice any dead spots when we were walking around.

Do they have a dump station for travel trailers and RVs?

Of course! They have a fully functioning RV dump station at the park, but unfortunately, they don’t have individual septic hookups at each campsite.

Do they have power and water hookups at the campsites?

They do! While they may not have individual dump stations at each site, they do offer 20, 30, and 50-amp electric hookups and water.

What’s our favorite activity?

Our kids loved the giant inflatables! There’s an obstacle course, a water slide, and even a bounce house. They loved running around and having fun with their newfound friends. Plus, they got to cool off in the pond while they were at it. It was great!
