There are a few other great campgrounds, such as the Silver Lake Campground, Hartley Springs Campground, and Oh Ridge Campground. All of these are great campgrounds, but the June Lake Campground and Silver Lake Campgrounds are the only ones to offer lakeside camping.
While in the area, you have to drive around the picturesque June Lake Loop. This loop takes you by Waugh Lake, Gem Lake, Silver Lake, and June Lake. It’s one of the prettiest drives you’ll take. And, a pro tip, if you go during the fall, typically around September through October, you can see the aspens changing colors, and it’s completely stunning.
