Whatโ€™s the best paint for RV interior walls?

There are plenty of brands you can use to paint RV walls (i.e. Sherwin Williams, Behr, etc.), but in general, you want latex paint. Essentially, itโ€™s the same paint youโ€™d use for your homeโ€™s interior, but instead itโ€™s on your painted RV interior walls.

If you really want to save some time, get paint that has the primer mixed into it. Otherwise, youโ€™ll have to primer your walls first, then add 1-2 coats of latex paint on them.

Donโ€™t forget to paint your camper trim molding.

When youโ€™re painting the interior of your camper, think about what color you want the RV molding trim to be.

If youโ€™re going to paint the interior of your travel trailer, thatโ€™s a good time to change out the RV molding for long lasting RV molding such as a fiberglass or composite.

Once your RV trim molding is installed, give it a color that compliments the rest of your camper. This may be a contrasting color or perhaps a different shade of the primary color. Whichever you choose, be sure to give it some personality.

Planning on fixing up the entire travel trailer?

Of course, weโ€™re focusing on the interior in this article, but itโ€™s also a good time to fix up the exterior and other areas of your camper.

You might want to consider an RV roof repair to take care of any minor leaks that might ruin your interior paint. Maybe you want to do a custom RV shower install since youโ€™re giving the inside a makeover? And an easy one is to replace the travel trailer decals while youโ€™re at it. Donโ€™t forget to take off frame components and get some powder coating in as well.

When youโ€™re done, your camper is going to look like a brand new rig!
